Ok, I am at a loss at finding my mistake. First off, I've built a ZVS charger by following the usual Uzzor's schematic. I first built just the charging circuit itself, omitting the comparator, transistors leds, etc and it has been charging the cap bank on my coilgun quite fine. Tonight I finished and added the rest of the components to try to set it up to stop on it's own. I succeeded at getting it to stop, but rather then stopping at 380-450 volts, it's cutting out at 105-125 volts depending on where I turn the pot. I've retraced everything twice now, and for the life of me I can't see what I could have miswired. =/ Anyone have any ideas?
To sum up:
Charging circuit works. I've charged a 450v 5600uf bank multiple times with just the charging circuit.
upon adding the comparator and the other components, it auto stops and the led lights, however the voltage is stopping at 105-125 volts or so. adjusting the pot changes the cutoff voltage, but only within this range.
Any advice on how to narrow my search for what the problem could be?
