In one of my modding projects I have encountered the need for one of those little pcb mount switches... But there is a catch, I need the little button sticking up to be 1/4" long. I have the 1/16" tall ones, and the 1/8" tall ones, but I can't find an 1/4" tall one anywhere frown

Do any of you guys have one? If not I will probably end up builing a laser of epoxy on another button or something...

Thanks!

Try scavanging mouse, printer, small keyboards, CD-roms and so, I think I have one built in in a small AT89C*051 module. (very old thing).
I don't remember from where but i'm sure it was dug out, surely from something froma bove...

Being teflon, it might be hard to glue to, but could you glue the extension to whatever it is that actuates the button?

I looked in my newark catalog and they have what you need. See part numbers KSC621G KSC621J KSC641G KSC641J. They have a 7.7mm actuator, but it can be sanded down to 1/4" if necessary.

I have heaps of those... with big tall quarter-inch (and I think some half-inch) buttons.

Can I send you some?
