Hi friends ... I created a test generator with high voltage flyback transformers for my thesis, I use the driver NE555N, but why the capacitors on the main power supply to supply flyback transformers are always broken and I always have to replace it, which I use-value capacitor 1uF, whether the number of rolls on the primary flyback transformer that I made too little so that the flow behind it to become bigger and make the capacitors become heated and deformed?, I made 10 rolls in the primary flyback transformers with wire 2.5mm thick, I give the main power supply 42 volts DC with transformer 5A please help .. thanks

Would you mind posting more details about what circuit you are using? What sort of capacitors are you using and what role do they play in the circuit (DC blocking, tank, timing, filtering, etc.)?

The 1uF value is way too small, and the ripple currents in the capacitor will be very large. Some large electrolytic capacitors with a good ripple current rating will be best for this application. has some equations which will help you choose the capacitor size for small ripple of your 42V bus.

I've tried using a capacitor with larger capacity but did not issue a flyback transformer sparks, the more I added capacitance electric spark becoming increasingly smaller, if I add more capacitance to be larger then the flyback transformers just squeaks and issued no spark at all

Check your assembly. A capacitor with that rating in that position would not break, and a larger capacitor would improve the performance. Something else is wrong.

I've tried with the capacitor polarity or electrolit condensator with a capacity 10000uF wow amazing results, this means that as long as I was wrong in choosing a capacitor, it turns out the non-polar capacitors do not provide solutions, but the problem when I use a 5 ampere transformers are very large current consumption while achieving 10 Ampere, does not endanger or damage the transformers?, thanks a lot
