thanks, after work i will set something up. I have never current limited before (except for MOT's) so, if i use a 12v rectified transformer that should not draw to many amps, i think it is only rated to putout 1/2 and amp and most.

I don't know if you will need current limiting at 12 volts or not.
I was explaining the basic principles, so you'd have a better understanding, and you'd know what to look for.

How serendipitous, I'm currently in the process of building an etching unit for my dad and his knife making, I'll have to try this out as soon as I'm done...
For what my 2 cents is worth around here, things start to get unpredictable when you use too much current.
(If it has any effect on what my 2 cents is worth, I just earned at least 2 semesters of college credit at any school in the state. Thank you AP classes.)
