Okay, so im browsing Ebay looking for the caps i wanna get for my coilgun project and i ran across these. My only concern is, is that the leads look really small. Those caps will have to dump over 600 amps and im just wondering if they would do the job?

just drill some holes through copper strips like these (or cut your own) and solder them on as bus bars as close to the caps as possible w/o melting them. that should work out alright. i made a lot of capacitor banks in the past with very poor connections and never had anything explode (well, except for improperly located diodes)

Could I recommend not soldering since you might damage the capacitors and it might be very hard to remove. If you can, try using nuts and bolts etc, as long as you screw them fairly tightly, you shouldn't have any issues with poor connections (I haven't anyway :D). Also you will almost definitely want to change the arrangement at some point, so if you solder it you might encounter such issues.

'tis a bit hard to bolt down caps with no screw terminals @OP: you should look for the big 450V 'lytics that appear on Ebay; best I've seen is ~700J for $9.
