Just wondering if anyone has a dead drill and is willing to part with the drill head (or whatever you call the part that holds the drill bits)?
I made a simple homemade drill press using a drill press frame where you mount a handheld drill on it. Instead of a handheld drill, I bought a small old AC motor (pretty powerful) for a few bucks that should do the job easily for medium-duty drilling. All I need is the drill head if anyone has one.

You ought to be able to get something like that at Home Depot, I know I've seen "keyless" ones on sale at Harbor Freight for $4, and I bought one at sears last year for $15.
It's called a Jacob's Chuck, or you can get a "keyless" Jacob's but you can't get them as tight after they wear a little.
You can also get a halfway decent drill at Home Depot for about $30. I bought a Ryobi that I haven't had any trouble out of yet.
