The end is nearing... Today I just finished my Track and Field season for high school, and did alright. I finished with personal records in 200m: 23.2 seconds 300 intermediate hurdles: 41.84 seconds 400m dash: 51.6 seconds I was pretty proud of those times after last years poor performances in... just about everything. Anyone else here involved in track and field or other high school sports?
I am the one handing off, all the other teams are behind us I started off 15 yards behind the guy, and ended up 15 in front of him- I turned up the heat half way around.

Congrats man. I was a distance runner - ran crosscountry (5k). I could have been better than I was because I only ran in 11th and 12th grade - but I still was faster than most who had run for 3 or 4 years already. I think my personal best 5k was around 17:30 minutes +/- 10 seconds. Not blazing fast, but for someone who only ran 2 years pluss from as small a school as I came from thats not bad. I graduated with just under 40 in my class, and the feild in the background of the pic below tells you I come from the 'country'. I always liked running by fields and through woods rather than round in circles, but I got to hand it to you sprinters, as it takes some guts to do that. I was never good in anything much under 1 mile.

well you guys pretty much owned my 7:59.70 mile... I hope to do better in the last one I ever plan to run in my entire life ever on the 13th... First semester my best was 7:58, then about 3 weeks ago I ran the 7:59 time after hiking 6 miles up a mountain (about .2mile of elevation gain over the first 2.5, I did it in like 40 minutes), cramming for the chem ap test, sleeping, taking said ap test, eating a burger as fast as I could, then about 6 minutes later running the mile in 90's F degree weather-in the sun on a rubber track, air temp must have been over 100F ... Still a prety good improvemnt over the 15 minute mile I ran 5 years ago, even the 12 minute one I ran only 3 years ago
