I want to make NaNo3 based homemade rocket propellant.I tried to make rocket candy using NaNo3 but it dosen't work.It burns much slower.NaNo3 based black powder burns slow too and I didn't know how to load it into motor casing.I have viewed jamesyawn's page about NaNo3 propellant but I can't find karo syrup and I want to make small rocket motors(smaller than C class).model rocket motors is not easily avaliable here.

I have searched the web but I didn't find useful information.

Anyone knows how to make this?
Thanks

I believe NaNO3 is far too hygroscopic, you need to dry it before use, say in an oven, then you need to use the propellant very soon, otherwise it will absorb too much moisture to be useful.

a method I used for NaNO3 and KNO3 was
NaOH + NH4NO3 -> NaNO3 + NH4OK -> NaNO3 + NH3 + H2O
Same for KNO3.
All these components are easy to find.

Would be better if you could get your hands on KClO3 or KClO4 for your rocket motors.

NaNO3 can definitely work for rocket engines. If you have a large/cheap source of it and really want to use it check out David Sleeters book Link2

I have a copy and it was worth every penny. It gives you multiple formulas (six total I think) with at least two of them using NaNO3 as the oxidizer.
