it seems corn oil used for dielectric strength has caused my tubes and alligator clips to harden to the point where they are no long flexible enough to work! and on the really old dry ones i see orange "resin like" hard stuff. This only seems to happen the flexible vinyl aquarium tubes or soft pvc stuff.
can any of you chemist aces tell me if vegatable oil or peanut oil will do the same?
