Weird one this, something I read recently about shampoo made something pop into my head that (for some strange reason) I committed to memory probably over 20 years ago from a Vosene shampoo bottle label and that is "sulphasusinatedundecalenicmonoalkalidamide" (spelling probably WAY off) The current ingredient list for Vosene is Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene, Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide MEA, Polyquaternium-22, Climbazole, Parfum, Sodium Citrate, Sodium benzoate, Sodium Formate and Caramel. So any ideas what the bizzare chemical composition I've remembered is?

My guess is you are remembering sodiumdodecylsulphate, and an alkylamide, minus some spaces and a comma or two.
Sodiumdodecylsulphate is better known as Sodium Laureth Sulphate, and your Alkylamide, or Alkamide comes from various plants. Both I believe are surfactants.
