If you have not been aware, Casio recently released a projector based on an array of ~1W 445nm (true blue) laser diodes, which has caused a massive frenzy in the laser communities.
I have one of the projectors, and have put some information up at if anyone is interested. I hacked that page together while I should have been studying for my calculus final (end result A- phew) so it is brief, but I am going to try and flesh it out a bit more today/tomorrow now that I am on summer break.
If anyone is interested in purchasing the diodes, I have them available, they cost me about $50 when tax/shipping/etc are considered, so for 4HVers I would be willing to sell them at $75 including domestic shipping, or $90 for international. If you need a collimator etc let me know and I will see what I can do.

Yes these diodes are quite amazing. Not only was a new exotic wavelenght sprung up on the laser enthusiest community but they're also far more powerful than any other 5.6mm diode. Not to mention they're not too expensive either. The guys over at LPF have been pushing them as high as 1.8amps with no degradation. They appear to be along the lines of 2w laser diodes, and a current setting of 1.4amps (~1400mW output) will yield a good lifetime, given proper cooling.
I've built one. I have mine set to 800mA and it's probably around 800mW to boot.
