Some of the diagrams, renders, and schematics I have seen on this and other Wiki's look really nice and clean, What software should I use to generate primarily schematics for the wiki articles I'm writing?

I am running XP SP2 and not Linux, so I was just wondering what the common editor is or which is preferred for visual consistancy.

I'm also wondering if the 'drafting tool', whatever it is, will allow me to save things like say an inductor or transistor. So far I've had to sit for several hours tweaking and playing with Paint, and I'd really like something that would allow me to grab a schematic component, place it, then add some drawn lines to connect everything.

Thanks,

Matt

This one Link2 is made with Proteus lite and took hardly any time at all to make.

This one Link2 was made in Xara Extreme

Render the bitmap at high resolution so that the picture does not have to be remade at a later time when higher resolution is needed.

Maybe there's a minor error on the wiki?

Regarding the following page:
Link2

There is a link to ScanTesla which doesn't work, at least for someone like myself without an official account. The link passes the "action=edit" parameter to the server.

I did find the following directory to be available-
Link2

The link points to an article about ScanTesla, the problem is that no one has written the article yet. That is why it has the edit parameter, an article that does not exist can't be viewed, only created (edited).

I have created the article now and added the link.

How can you create a article? Does a mod need to create it?

Why does it say "Expand a stub today, help us grow!", when only registered users can edit anything?
also, I PM'd chris 8 days ago about registering and he said he would, but I haven't been registered yet...

When the wiki was open for everyone it filled up with spam faster than we could delete it.

I suggest you keep PMing Chris until he replies. If that does not help, try the priority email address.

Hopefully it will all be fixed in the next version of the forum software.
