The rise time of a pulse of a HP 8000A with about 1V amplitude is shown on an analog oscilloscope (Tek7904 with 7A29 and 7B10).
The rise time is about 500 ps, (0.5 ns).

The short rise time is certainly impressive for the age of the device,
however the associated power cable is borrowed only:

Please, could somebody help me in the search for a source for such a power cable?

I know Apex Jr. has them, but my timing and his timing are difficult to work out.

They are out there, try Surplus Sales of Nebraska too.

These cords are getting more expensive every year, might want to buy 2 of them.

You can make one from scratch, using three individual pin receptacle contacts.
Solder them to the stranded wires of a power cord, and insulate each one with heat shrink tubing.
If you want to handle it a a single plug, you can mold some kind of plastic resin putty around the three terminals, using your HP 8000 as an alignment jig.
