I have a college level text book on fuel cells, its good on PEM of H2 but is light on the methanol type (DMFC). I know they're closely related but I cant figure out if thinner Nafion is better than thicker, and a potential maker Ive found is willing to make the anode and cathode have separate concentrations of Pt/Ru catalyst. But which side should be higher in concentration if Im looking only for high current and not overall efficiency.
Im trying to get a hold of their engineers instead of sales people. But I think they're skeptical of a college student muddling around asking these questions without buying anything. But I may be dropping big bucks soon. I may have to find several makers then.
Im having trouble with overload and randomness on Google searches.

I have been doing a little electrochemistry lately, and some reading, and YouTube-ing, my honest advice is - concentrate on other aspects of your projects, battery/supercapacitor/fuel cell research is overwhelming, the devili is in the (proprietary) details. let the battery guys do their thing, you do yours.

the temptation is that the worst DMFC is still better than the best battery.
I have had some interest in my sensors and another device from a potential buyer, like $20,000. Though the deal may fizzle, it still encourages me. Also I have some real opportunity with my current employer, as they let me use their 100 ton press, NC machines and other machines for my own projects. Alot of employers dont like that !
