Wow, I was browsing through and came across this:
HERE

2 electron microscopes for £900 COMBINED

Anyone fancy a project?

I'd love to buy them but I still haven't got the space...

still considering buying them and putting them in lock-and-keep.

[Edit: Fixed llink]

Parts machines, probably not everything there and good luck on finding the missing parts.

Honestly, older working SEMs are not hard to find for a little more.

They are in the UK from what it seems.

I missed out on a used/working Nd:YAG 600W / 5kW pk laser for 1k yesterday... had nowhere to store it. Would have been quite cool to make a laser welder, could start up my own little company haha.

Mmm, heavy.

I love eBay's suggestions at the bottom of the page. 'If you are interested in four pallet's worth of electron microscope, you may also like a £6 magnifying lens, or a £10 8 LED USB microscope!'

I bought a gas laser with someone's home made power supply. Just one for sale. Afterwards ebay came up with "People that bought <gas laser with blah power supply> also bought ..." and then listed about 20 crappy auctions all with the word laser in the title, laser pointers, laser key rings, none of which I'd ever bought. I complained a few years ago and it's still doing it on some purchases.

Their automatic system recommended a 256G USB stick to me on the front page for a good price a few months ago, and it turned out to be a well known scam. People take a small stick and reformat it to pretend it's huge. It appears to work fine, you can copy 256G to it, you only have a problem when you try to use your data.

Ebay suggestions - Fail.
