Hello, is it possible to create a SGTC being powered up with a ZVS Flyback driver?

Here is my take on my Tesla coil specs (I already built it)

Primary:
7 AWG Copper Conductor 15 Turns with 0.25" spacing

Secondary:
26 AWG Magnetic Wire 1177 Turns with 4" diameter pvc pipe

Top Load:
4" diameter Aluminum Ducting

Tank Capacitor:
12 Bottles with saltwater and oil on the inside (each bottle have 0.7~0.8nF capacitance)

I have tried running it.. the rotary spark gap is working (i think) but no breakout occurs..

See the attached fileformore info

I would suggest using an MMC a capacitor bank made from a bunch of smaller capacitors, or find some nice high voltage capacitors. have a google at tesla coil calculators itll help you build a good MMC given that you input all your current coil dimensions, also salt water caps use just a conductive liquid. And rolled capacitors are better and still easy to make, good luck.

I take it your Flyback drivers output is being rectified to charge up the tank capacitor?

You will know if your spark gap is working you will see and hear it.

If you take a small pigtail neon and earth it’s leads to a sheet of foil on the ground, and suspend it near the coil so it lights with minimal power, you can then tune for maximum brightness and at least find if your primary circuit has a resonant spot, The whole time running at low power so as not to damage anything.
