Hi guys, I bought a onetesla which is a small half bridge DRSSTC that uses the fga60n65smd IGBTs and I would like to convert it to a full bridge to try to get longer arcs. The IGBTs are blown right now so I have to replace them anyways. I just have a few questions. Will these little IGBTs be able to handle the extra power? And I need to wind a new secondary anyways so what would be a good size maybe 3-4 inch?

The 60N65s are fine IGBTs and should be able to get you at least 3 feet of spark :). The more difficult issue is - are you planning to use the same oneTesla setup? You can certainly use the same secondary and toroid, but I'd recommend swapping out the primary coil (do you have the TS or the gen 1 oneTesla?). The driver needs to be modified too for driving the 4 IGBTs but you might be able to get away with the UCC pair and a 4-secondary GDT.

I have a gen 1 oneTesla. The secondary coil is damaged so I need to wind a new one anyway. Plus I don't know if that little 2 inch secondary could handle 3 feet of spark :). How would I need to modify the driver? Just wind a new GDT?
