I have a zvs sstc with 50nh+50nh primary coil with a 50 nf capacitor in parallel at 500kz. probably 200-250 amps circulating in it.
When I first built it I used litz wire at about 12 guage and it would get super hot in seconds. I switched to 1/4 inch copper tubeing. it never raises in temperature, I thought. Then I noticed a lot of water condensation on the primary. it was not humid either. I then measured the temperature and it actually dropped 7 degrees! how is that possible?

no, bought it new at a hardware store ,I was made for ice makers. If I don't have the secondary coil in it. the primary will get so hot as to burn you. It's changing the performance or anything, I am just curious of the physics behind it.

There is a magnetic refrigeration effect in certain alloys which may be pertinent here. That's all I can think of that may be happening. Normally the effect is small but that's because the magnetic fields are small and weak. In a parallel LC circuit the magnetic fields are pretty strong, especially at hundreds of amps.

To be clear did your pipe get hot whilst it was on, and then when turned off, it cooled below room temperature?
