Hi all,

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we're running short on moderators. This means we've been a little lax on things like post quality as of late, and that unfortunately means a worse signal to noise ratio, which nobody enjoys. It also means that things that shouldn't take a long time, like getting new members approved, have been taking forever lately.

It's time to shake things up a bit. Over the next few weeks, some folks will be leaving the moderating team, some will be assuming new roles as administrators, and hopefully several new faces will be joining the moderating team. That's where you come in.

Do you have an interest in helping to clean things up? Do you have a few hours here and there to donate to checking on things? If so, I'd like to hear from you. Feel free to reply to this thread, contact me via private message, or send an email to forum at 4hv dot org. The general requirements are:

  • The ability to regularly check in on the forum
  • An interest in ensuring posts at 4hv.org are held to a high standard
  • An interest in helping people get the most out of 4hv.org
  • Willingness to work with others, and document moderator actions for transparency
  • A good posting history on the forum

If this sounds like you, whether you've been here for years or just climbed aboard, don't hesitate to get in touch!

Hi Chris,

As I did offer a while back to help you in any way I can (Regarding both the new registrations and other such things) I figured I might as well just remind you of that in-case our conversation slipped your mind.

Id be willing to vet new users, but not much more. I notice a lot of wild 20 character names... are robots getting better ?

I'll vote for low priced V1agrA and cross posted duped articles from blogs. wink

Meh, I already administer too many domains, and found it near impossible to keep the SEO spammers out without IP blacklists.

Patrick posts unique subject matter, and seems to meet the criteria.
So I'll second his nomination.

I was goimg to post that if I had one vote, I'd vote for Klugesmith, but as Kizmo points out, in the post above, there are plenty of people who have plenty to offer to the forum.
