Well, thanks to the help from folks on this forum the new coil is operational. Thought I would share some specs and pics

Secondary: 4.5" x 20.5", 32 AWG wire.
Topload - 4" x 17" duct toroid
Primary: 9 turns of 1/4" copper tube tapped at 6.5 turns
Tank Capacitor: 3x6 CDE 2kv caps - 303nF
Inverter: CM300DY-24H half bridge with RIFA 3400uF/420VDC power cap
Bus voltage: 340DC - 120AC doubled with 2 sprague 2000uF/200VDC caps
Resonant Freq: 86kHz
Controller: Eric Goodchilds UD2.5b
Max Spark length: 52"

Still doing some tweaks and modifications but overall working pretty well and staying nice and cool. Time to start building her twin smile

It will be difficult to change the architecture now - not much room for more caps. I am using an H-bridge. Changing bus voltage is tough as all components are rated for the 340v.
It was a half bridge indeed not a H-bridge that you mentioned in the tuning for maximum power thread (unless you're building several coils?). With a half bridge, running at higher bus voltage will give you significantly better performance with your previous MMC (e.g. usually output from a variac will go up to 140VAC giving you ~400V on the bus). Also you could have combined all the threads you created for this coil into one project thread instead. Good job getting it working.
