The yaw is obviously better on a tricopter comparing with a quad. Now I am trying to imagine if a tri with collective pitch would be any better than a quad with same technology.

I know tricopters and bicopters are better at yaw, theres reasons for it like translational lift in forward flight. so yes variable pitch on each prop would be deal.

Yup kids are pricey but worth it I'm young they will turn 18 soon :) I had bad luck and lost all of my designs on a faulty hdd :( oh look a nitro version.

Well that being said I would have a large room full of productive goodies CNC equipment, 3D priners, verry powerfull computer for designing ETC..... :( By that time my two go out on there own atleast they are both in to engineering the lost art in america.
