I'd like to introduce my Mini MIDI TC Controller. This controller is based off my MIDI Pro Tesla Coil Controller (MPTCC).

8031111763 7b8f31cafd Z

The controller has four modes selectable by the mode switches. The mode is selected by setting the correct binary code for the mode desired and cycling the power to the controller.

Mode 00 [0] - MIDI Input (Channel 1 volume / Channel 2 volume)
Mode 01 [1] - Standard interrupter (pulse frequency / pulse width)
Mode 10 [2] - Asynchronous Rotary Spark Gap simulator (pulse frequency / pulse width / line frequency)
Mode 11 [3] - Twin coil interrupter (pulse frequency / pulse width / phase)

Adjustments to the various parameters are made using potentiometers, the value used is not critical, just so long as it's not too low resistance (below 5K) There is a DIP switch on the board which is used to select the MIDI channel mapped to each transmitter. Switches 1-4 are used to control channel 1, switches 5-8 are used to control Channel 2.

The board supports the ST fiber optic transmitters (like those used on Steve Ward's UD boards). It also supports the blue plastic fiber optic transmitters. The transmitter duty cycle is software limited to 5% maximum as a safety feature.

As you can see from the photo above, the pads are nearly the size of dinner plates cheesey so this board should be easy to solder even if you don't have much experience doing so. Also, the board was designed so that it could be used with locking K-K connectors should the customer choose to use them.

I plan to sell these controllers for the low price of $75. This price includes what you see in the photo above. The fiber optic transmitters are sold separately, or they can be installed at additional cost. The controller is almost ready to ship, I just need to do some final testing, and get a few boards assembled. Pre-orders are welcome, and they should ship in no more than two weeks (assuming testing goes well).

If you're interested in buying one of these please contact me at pslawinski at gmail dot com

Hi Phillip, good work, is your controller a more current than your last ones that you have threads on or is it a newer model

This is a new model, which is offered up alongside my other controller (the MPTCC). This is a more affordable model that just has the important bits (MIDI, interrupters).
