Streamer loading

I am surprised by the voltage waveforms from my DRSSTC secondary. I've attached a small antenna to my scope and looked
at the voltages it picks up. At small bus voltages, i.e. stremaers of about 5" length, I get a smooth ramp up. At larger
voltages, i.e. streamers of about 20" length, the voltage ramps up to a certain point and then drops. I am sure, that
there are no ground arcs. Below are 2 images, one at low voltage and one at the higher one. I expected the
streamer load to rise continuously with higher voltage. Have any of you seen similar behaviours?

As you can see here ( Link2 ) on the scope shots of the primary current from the 3rd September, they are very similar.

Your Tesla coil is properly out of tune and you are running too long on times. Try to tune your primary some better and compare scope shots.

Thank you for your reply. Likely my coil gets out of tune for longer streamers. I am just surprised, that the inset of capacitive
streamer loading, which untunes my coil, happens so suddenly. I will experiment with tuning.

To my knowledge, although, secondary voltages and primary currents are different animals. When getting out
of tune, secondary voltage decreases, while primary currents increase. This suggests, that in the link you supplied,
that coil gets into tune with longer streamers, while mine out of it.
