Oh come on, how idiotic is that? Surely they can see having two 445nm 1W lasers on EACH END of a "lightsabre" is a bad idea.

Please can someone politely tell WL to take this advert down before people get hurt and the Govt bans lasers completely.

This is just stupid crap. As conundrum points out this is how and why our government "mommy" will see the need to step in and forbid or stuff, for our own good of course.

Link2

Q: what can we do with a 1W laser?
A: Alot of cool stuff...

THEREFORE: If one laser beam is cool, then 2 MUST be way better... Oh yeah... lets do that.

And as for that "saftey test" thats just crap too... to protect themselves legally, and then to propagandise-OOPs i meant "advertise" that its so dangerous it's user needs a test before they can sell it... what a bunch of crap heads.

My idea: Well, if one AK-47 is good on the battlefield, then two placed end to end must be even better.

EDIT: By the way the NOHD is 149 meters i guess times two. so 298 meters!

What possible use could there be for this, other than blinding someone while messing with it?

I could not have said it better myself. What a stunningly idiotic contraption. It makes the "pointers" capable of setting fire to things look like harmless toys. You can't protect stupid people from themselves, but it would be nice to protect others from them.

most or nearly all the posts on the laser forum were viciously savage on the wicked laser guy.

I've never heard anything good about them either. Certainly never bought anything from them but obviously people do.

Jesus!

Has to be an april fools joke. Has to be. No one would be so insane to market a product such as this.

I have to admit, the idea is cool but so effin impractical. What use does this thing have? You can't even pick it up without setting everything and everyone on fire and then blinding everyone too for a good measure. How are you supposed to use it? WTF?

Well, IMHO WL are being totally irresponsible already with their sales of the 1W "pointers".
